The Breathtaking Castle
Visiting Himeji was an incredible experience. As I arrived, the stunning Himeji Castle stood tall against the blue sky. Known as the “White Heron Castle,” its white walls and elegant design were breathtaking.
Walking through the castle grounds, I saw beautiful gardens and a calm moat surrounding the fortress. The wooden bridge leading to the entrance added to the castle’s majestic feel.
Inside the castle, I explored the narrow hallways and steep wooden staircases. The rooms were simple yet strong, designed for defense. I saw old weapons, hidden storage spaces, and lookout windows used by samurai.
The top floor gave me an amazing view of Himeji city. Looking out, I imagined what life was like during the samurai era. The castle’s history felt alive within its walls.
After the castle, I strolled through Koko-en Garden nearby. The peaceful setting, with small ponds, waterfalls, and stone paths, was perfect after climbing the castle.
I also explored the streets around Himeji, enjoying local food and souvenirs. The mix of history, nature, and culture made my trip unforgettable. Himeji Castle was a true masterpiece, and I felt lucky to see it in person.
