Lisbon was a vibrant mix of history and charm. Strolling through Baixa, I admired the black-and-white patterned pavements and the towering Santa Justa Lift. I savored pastéis de nata from a traditional bakery while watching the iconic trams pass by. Rossio Square’s fountains and neoclassical buildings added to the city’s beauty.
The modern side of Lisbon was just as captivating. In Parque das Nações, the Vasco da Gama Tower and Oceanário stood out. Along the Tagus River, I admired the Padrão dos Descobrimentos and the stunning Jerónimos Monastery. Sipping a bica at a riverside café, I soaked in the city’s rich history and energy.

Visiting the Oceanário de Lisboa was an incredible experience, immersing me in a mesmerizing underwater world. The massive central tank, home to majestic sunfish, sharks, and stingrays, felt like peering into the deep ocean. I was captivated by the vibrant coral reefs, where clownfish and anemones created a colorful display.
The eerie glow of jellyfish floating gracefully in their tanks made me appreciate the delicate beauty of marine life. Penguins waddled on rocky ledges, while playful otters floated on their backs, adding a sense of charm to the experience.
Outside, the modern architecture of the Oceanário stood impressively over the water, connected by sleek walkways. The futuristic design blended perfectly with the tranquil surroundings of Parque das Nações.
Watching the river shimmer in the sunlight, I reflected on the importance of ocean conservation. This visit wasn’t just about seeing incredible sea creatures—it was a reminder of how vital it is to protect our oceans for future generations.
