Marriott Resort
Staying at the Bangkok Marriott Resort and Spa (now Anantara Riverside) was like stepping into a tropical oasis in the middle of the city! Nestled along the Chao Phraya River, the resort had lush gardens, a huge pool, and beautiful riverside views that made every moment feel like a retreat.
We loved relaxing by the pool and taking in the peaceful surroundings. The nights were just as magical, with twinkling lights, delicious food, and a warm, romantic atmosphere. Boats on the Chao Phraya River (ΰΉΰΈ‘ΰΉΰΈΰΉΰΈ³ΰΉΰΈΰΉΰΈ²ΰΈΰΈ£ΰΈ°ΰΈ’ΰΈ²)
Getting around Bangkok by boat on the Chao Phraya River was such a fun and scenic way to explore the city! Whether it was hopping on the public river ferry, taking a colorful longtail boat, or relaxing on the hotelβs shuttle boat, the views were always amazing.
We passed by towering skyscrapers, historic temples, and bustling piers filled with locals and tourists alike. The river had a constant energyβboats zipping in all directions, vendors selling snacks at the docks, and the occasional splash from passing waves. Sitting by the edge of the boat, feeling the breeze, and watching the city go by was one of the best ways to soak in the vibrant spirit of Bangkok!
Bangkok City
Our time in Bangkok was a mix of exciting city adventures, delicious food, and fun surprises at every turn! We explored the bustling streets, visited modern shopping malls, and admired quirky attractions like a car flipped upside down! There were so many incredible mealsβfresh seafood, sizzling street food, and over-the-top desserts that were almost too pretty to eat.
We also wandered through beautifully decorated areas, including sparkling elephant sculptures and a giant Christmas tree that made the city feel extra magical at night. And of course, we had some unexpected little encountersβlike a friendly turtle that seemed to follow us around! Whether it was soaking in the vibrant nightlife, marveling at the cityβs modern-meets-traditional charm, or just enjoying each moment, Bangkok was a city that never stopped surprising us.
Grand Palace
Visiting the Grand Palace (ΰΈΰΈ£ΰΈ°ΰΈΰΈ£ΰΈ‘ΰΈ‘ΰΈ«ΰΈ²ΰΈ£ΰΈ²ΰΈΰΈ§ΰΈ±ΰΈ) and the nearby Temple of the Emerald Buddha (ΰΈ§ΰΈ±ΰΈΰΈΰΈ£ΰΈ°ΰΈ¨ΰΈ£ΰΈ΅ΰΈ£ΰΈ±ΰΈΰΈΰΈ¨ΰΈ²ΰΈͺΰΈΰΈ²ΰΈ£ΰΈ²ΰΈ‘) was an unforgettable experience! The palace complex is absolutely stunning, with its golden rooftops, intricate carvings, and towering guardian statues.
As we walked through, we saw the famous Emerald Buddha, a sacred and highly revered statue that sits inside a beautifully decorated temple. The entire area was buzzing with tourists and worshippers, creating a lively yet deeply spiritual atmosphere.
Outside, we admired the golden stupas, shimmering mosaics, and beautifully detailed mythical creatures guarding the temple. Everywhere we turned, there was another breathtaking viewβwhether it was the grand halls of the palace, the changing of the royal guards, or the lively street vendors selling fresh fruit and snacks just outside.
